BEG has assisted companies such as Huawei, Telone as well as other ICT providers with various Antenna Bracket Fabrication projects.  We have exported for these same companies to Malawi and Zambia. Typically, these brackets are hot dipped galvanized finish.

Churches

Boiler chimneys need to be designed and fabricated in a manner that aides erection in a modular and logical manner. BEG has the expertise to design the structural aspects from foundations to fabrication of the plate work to rigging these structures.

Distribution & Logistics Buildings

castellated beam is a beam style where an I-beam is subjected to a longitudinal cut along its web following a specific pattern in order to divide it and reassemble the beam with a deeper web by taking advantage of the cutting pattern.  There are cost savings for the end user by increasing the performance of structures in this way.  BEG is kitted out with the necessary plasma cutting machinery to produce a range of castellated or cell beams.

Fuel Canopies

BEG has a few standard designs of fuel canopies that are cost effective, quick and efficient to fabricate and install.  We have experience in designing and installing a number of different designs for customers such as Net Fuels, RAM Petroleum and Glow Petroleum to name a few.

Industrial Buildings

For structures spanning upto around 24m wide lattice structures are extremely light and cost-effective.  BEG has installed hundreds of thousands of square meters of these structures in the region from agri to poultry to commercial applications.  They cannot be beaten on simplicity, time and cost parameters when it comes to lighter and narrower structures.

Manufacturing Buildings

BEG has installed pedestrian/fly over walkway bridges such as at the Old Mutual East Gate Centre.  These jobs involve a high degree of preparation and design and fabrication accuracy, as the must typically be installed over short duration periods whilst roads are closed off to traffic. Megastructures

Portal Framed Structures tend to be cost-effective from 25 to 32m spans offering a shallow truss structure where eves clearance is important. These structures have reduced part counts for ease of fabrication. BEG has years of experience in installing a range of portal structures from small to large structures.

Retail Buildings

BEG imports and rolls its own roof sheeting coils from the most cost-effective suppliers in the region to bring our customers roof coverings at competitive prices. The profile we roll is called Wide Span with a 762mm effective coverage. We stock galvanized coil as well as a range of colours.

School Buildings

BEG stocks and designs into its structures a range of common structural accessories including:

  • Translucent sheeting
  • Bondeck sheets for mezzanine installations.

Sheds

During the various stages of ZINARA upgrades to our highways, BEG has been a proud supplier to ZINARA of temporary toll gate structures as well as involved with fabrication and installation of the permanent structures and toll booth crash barriers.

Warehouse Buildings

Taper Framed Structures also know as Pre Engineered Buildings are some of the most efficient steel buildings when spanning spans in excess of 30 meters. In pre-engineered buildings, the I-beams used are usually formed by welding together steel plates to form the I section.  These structures tend to be very efficient with high structural performance on larger span structures.

Brown Engineering has fabricated a number of Megastructures covering upto 20,000m2 with this method.  Taper Framed Structures require specific fabrication techniques and equipment which BEG has on its shop floor. A big advantage of this type of structure is the speed of procurement as BEG stocks materials for typical PEB sizes.
